1. About Frank

Frank Advice Ltd (company number 17295838) operates askfrank.org. These terms govern your use of the Frank service. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. What Frank is and is not

Frank provides AI-powered analysis of building project documents and a project record tool for UK homeowners.

Frank is not a substitute for professional advice. The analysis Frank generates is designed to help you identify questions to ask and potential issues to investigate. It does not constitute legal advice, construction advice, quantity surveying, or any other regulated professional service.

You should always seek independent professional advice before making significant financial or contractual decisions in connection with your building project. Frank Advice Ltd accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on Frank’s analysis.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be 18 or over to create an account. You must provide accurate information when registering.

4. Your documents and data

You retain ownership of all documents you upload to Frank. By uploading documents you grant Frank Advice Ltd a licence to process them for the purpose of providing the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload documents. Do not upload documents containing other people’s personal data without appropriate authority.

5. Subscription and payment

Frank is available on a monthly subscription basis at £9.99/month (or the current price shown at askfrank.org). Payment is processed by Stripe.

Your subscription continues until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.

Frank automatically pauses subscriptions after 60 days of inactivity. You will be notified before pausing occurs. You can resume at any time.

We may change the subscription price. We will give you at least 30 days notice of any price increase.

6. Refunds

We do not offer refunds for subscription periods already paid. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact hello@askfrank.org within 14 days.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Frank to process documents you do not have the right to access, attempt to circumvent security measures, use Frank for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to extract, copy, or reverse-engineer Frank’s analysis methodology.

8. Availability

We aim to keep Frank available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access. We will notify users of planned maintenance where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Frank Advice Ltd’s liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Frank Advice Ltd is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from your use of the service or reliance on Frank’s analysis.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email of significant changes. Continued use of Frank after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
